ASSEMBLY Connect Groups

Jesus Saves Outdoor Ministry - This group is co-led by Brandon and Melissa Hayes and Ronnie and Amy Kosovan. Their focus is to provide fellowship, minister to the homeless, and promote healthy outdoor activities. This group is looking for leaders as well as participants who are looking to create healthy relationships, minister to the homeless community and enjoy the outdoors. This group plans to minister to the homeless on the third Saturday of every month.

Builders Church Team - Marcus Johnson, who is a U.S. missionary, leads this group to assist Assembly of God Churches throughout the state with short term construction related projects. This group is for men 18 and older with construction-related skills, such as electrical, plumbing, framing, etc. This group plans to invest in the kingdom and not just buildings. They plan to take on challenging tasks that save the church money while investing in eternity!

Secret Sisters - This group, led by Kam Bookhiemer, is a year-long small group that has sign-ups during the spring. Women are paired secretly with a partner that they will pray for and bless with a $10 or less gift monthly or periodically for special occasions and birthdays.

Riders for Christ - This group is led by Dan and Karen Culverson and is for anyone who has a passion to ride. They plan to meet and ride once a month and enjoy food, fellowship, and attend motorcycle events and rallies.

Assembly Connection Team - If you have the gift of hospitality, then the connection team is for you! This group makes hundreds of guests feel welcome each year with gifts delivered right to their front door. This group led by Christa Shepherd is made up of cookie bakers, assembly teams, and delivery teams and we have a place for you! Please see Christa for more information.
Financial Peace - This group, led by Perry Beaver, will meet weekly to complete a study of Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University". They plan to cover the 9 lessons that teach you how to save for emergencies, pay off debt fast, spend wisely, and invest for your future.
First Responders Support Group -This group, co-led by Mark Suddeth and Bryan Frizzell, will meet weekly on the first Friday of each month to provide fellowship and support for fellow first responders. They will meet at Mark's house in Byron at 6:30 pm.
Monday Groups
Assembly Pickleball Warner Robins - This group is led by Christy Williams and is for believers who love the up-and-coming sport of Pickleball. This group is open to all skill levels and anyone interested in learning the sport. They will meet on Mondays at 6:30 pm at Ted Wright Park on Moody Rd.

Recovery Way - This Christ-centered 90-day program is co-led by Pastor Terry Theus and Ronnie Kosovan and is for anyone struggling with hurts from their past, bad habits, or feeling like their life is stuck. They meet every Monday in the Assembly Student Center at 7 pm.

12 Steps for Men - This Celebrate Recovery class is a 12-step program that integrates biblical principles to love, heal and educate hurting people. This is a class designed specifically for men and starting this week and is led by Stephen Hoy.

12 Steps for Women - This Recovery class, led by Laurie McAlister, is a 12-step program that integrates biblical principles to love, heal, and educate hurting people. This class is designed specifically for women and is starting soon at the Assembly Campus!
Good Grief - This group led by Roseann Bates is a support group that provides emotional support, validation, and education about grief while connecting with others who understand the hurt associated with death. This group provides the courage it takes to balance both joy and grief. This group meets weekly on Monday from 6-8 pm in the Fireside room.
Tuesday Groups

Praying Ladies - Christa Shepherd leads this group of ladies in Bible study and prayer every Tuesday morning at 10 am in the Fireside room. Ladies of all ages are welcome.

Celebrate Recovery - This group led by Pastor Terry Theus meets on Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the Student Center. You can join this group each week for a powerful time of worship and sermons designed to people overcome hurts, hang up's, and bad habits.
Wednesday Groups

Wednesday Morning Prayer - This group is led by our Transition Pastor Jim Butler and meets at 10 am on Wednesday morning to put prayer into action. They meet to pray for the needs of the Church and Church families.

Wednesday Night Prayer - This group is led by our Compassion Pastor, Don Shepherd, and meets on Wednesday night at 6 pm in the Fireside Room. They pray for the needs that are sent into the church as well as pray for the upcoming Wednesday night service.
Thursday Groups

Take A Break Book Club - This group led by Mrs. Madelyn Whitley will meet at 6:30 pm on the third Thursday of every month to read and discuss the book of the month.

Oasis - This group, led by Pastor Al Rowan, is for Senior Adults and meets on Thursdays at 10:30 am in the Fireside room. They also meet on the third Sunday of the month for a special fellowship dinner.

Blessed Believers - This group is led by our Transition Pastors, Jim and Dot Butler, and meets on the first Thursday of the month in room 101.

Women at the Well - Sarah Graham and Shelly Bayne co-lead this group every Friday from 10 am -12 pm in room 101 beginning in February. This is a great opportunity for moms to connect with one another and deepen their faith together. Childcare is provided.

Quilting - Tirzah Bautista leads this group which is open to all levels of experience. If you are looking for a new hobby or want to connect with other quilters, this group will meet on the 1st Thursday of the month from 6-9 p.m.

Walk by Faith - Let's glorify God's gift to us by meeting every Thursday for Faith, Fitness, and Fellowship to improve our health starting Oct 6th, 2022 at 6 pm. We will meet at the Assembly Church, start with a quick word of encouragement and inspiration from the Bible, then go outside and walk for 45min. This is not a race or a competition, all are welcome.
Our Intercessors - This group is led by Rose Whalen. This team prays during the services for all ministries and for urgent prayers when needed. We will meet on the second Thursday every month at 7 PM in the assembly auditorium. This will be open to all prayer warriors. Our goal: one mind one spirit and one accord. "for my father's house shall be called a house of prayer"

The Widowers Dinner - The Widowers Assembly Connection Group is co-led by Mitchell Angell, John Rohrbeck, and John Conley. We meet at 6:30 pm in the fireside room on the 3rd Thursday of each month. You can always expect an encouraging atmosphere, sound biblical teaching, fellowship, and a great dinner. If you are a widower please come and join us, we’d enjoy having you as part of our group.

Chasing Christ - This group plans to chase Christ on Thursdays at 6:00 pm weekly and run 3-6 miles. Katie Edwards leads this group and it is truly a RUNNING small group. They share Bible verses and prayer at each meeting. If you love to RUN and love to talk about Jesus, please sign up and join them for an exciting and encouraging run.
Friday Groups

Assembly Pickleball Macon - This group is led by Kelly and Carolyn Jackson for those in the Macon area who love Pickleball or anyone interested in learning to play. This group begins on February 3rd and will meet every other Friday at 6 pm at South Bibb Park on Houston Rd. If you are looking for a fun outdoor activity to spend time with family and meet other Christians, this group may be the group for you!

Women of Worship - This group, led by Chanel Ramos, is designed for ladies to draw close, pray, and soak in His presence through worship. They will meet once a month on the 1st Friday in the Student Center at 6:30 pm. Childcare is provided.

Assembly Singles - Kim Minix and David Edalgo co-lead this group that is designed for singles between the ages of 40-60. This group’s focus is to cultivate friendships that help group members cope with life changes through food, fun, and fellowship. This group meets on the second Friday of each month.

Assembly Coffeehouse - This group, led by Jeff Lintz, meets in the Church lobby on the third Friday of each month at 7 pm to enjoy coffee, Christian fellowship, and local artists.

Faith Life - This Bible study group is led by Beth Waller and meets once a month at 6:30 pm at the Church.

Widows Luncheon - This group is led by Glenda Sanders and meets 2nd Friday of each month in the fireside room.
Saturday Groups

International Connect - This group which is led by Mellin Jones is a family group open to all ages and nationalities. This group meets one Saturday a month at 11 am for food, fun, and fellowship. This group also plans quarterly outreach events to share the love of Christ in the community.

Middle Ground - Jason and Becky Bellavance lead this group which is for anyone not quite ready for the senior group and doesn't fit with young adults. It is held once a month on a Saturday night at 6 pm.

Staying Full of God - On the last Saturday of the month, Bob and Marlou Thurman will lead this group at their home in Kathleen that will be based off of Romans 1:21 "Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”
Sunday Morning Groups

Faith Builders - Pat Gunter leads this class that welcomes Adults of all ages. They meet in the fireside room at 9:45 am. This is a Bible study class that follows an interactive lecture/discussion format.

Students - Dwayne Bateman teaches this class for middle and high school students in room 101 in the Student Center.

The Bridge - This is an adult bible study that is led by Greg Armes and meets in room 101B. This group is open to ages between 20-50.

Women's Bible Study - Catherine Gelineau leads this class that meets weekly during the Sunday School hour in Room 105 but also will be meeting weekly in the community at different restaurants for devotion and prayer while blessing others.

Doers of the Word - This group is led by Brandon and Sarah Graham and meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month at 9:45-10:45 starting in October. Their focus will be on building Biblical foundations and not accepting world views by being doers of the Word. This semester they will be doing a study on the book of Acts.

Assembly Cart Ministry - This group is more than a shuttle ride to the door, it’s an opportunity to be the feet of Jesus and share a smile, a friendly conversation, and curbside service. If you are looking for ways to serve, consider joining the Assembly Cart Team which has three 1 hour shifts starting at 8:30 am, 10:30 am, and 12:00 pm. This group is co-led by Todd Sanders and Jarred Mattox.
Café Crew - This Assembly Group is led by Jessica Fitzsimmons and meets on Sundays to set up the cafe, serve coffee and doughnuts to the Assembly family, and clean up the cafe. Team members will have an opportunity to attend one service and serve another service. Serving times will vary depending on team member availability and desires. Current serve times are 7:30-11:00 and 10:00 -12:30.

Feeding the Force - This group meets on the 1st Sunday of the month at 7:30 am to prepare hot and ready breakfast items for our ever-growing Assembly Serve Team. This group is always looking for new team members to help serve a quick meal to those who are serving in ministries throughout the Assembly. This group is led by Micheal Edwards.
Sunday Night Groups

Women of Victory - If you are a single mom or a wife of a husband that is TDY, one that works out of state, or one that's a First Responder and feel overwhelmed with life in general, we are here for you as encouragement. Come and join what will be a great time of fellowship on the 1st Sunday of each month at the Assembly Church starting Oct 2nd, 2022 in room 101A, and childcare will be provided.

Empty Nesters - This Assembly group is led by our Compassion Pastors, Don and Christa Shepherd, who will focus on encouragement, Bible study, and fellowship for those in the empty nest stage of life. This group will meet once a month, please see the leaders for more information.

Warner Robins Rehab Outreach - Each Sunday at 2 pm, Ron and Beth Clymer will lead this group that will minster to individuals living in rehab centers throughout Warner Robins. Their group will be based on Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Not a Fan - This group, led by Bob and Kay Keller, will study Kyle Idelmans book, "Not a Fan". This study challenges Christians to stop cheering for Jesus and get in the game—to pursue an intimate, fully-committed relationship with Jesus with everything we have. They will meet twice a month on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm at their home in Byron.

Linemen - This group led by Tracy Jantz will be a group for men that focuses on the Biblical teachings and principles of the power of unity and fellowship with like-minded Christian men.
ASM Groups

In-Service Small Groups - Assembly Student Ministries loves to gather together and have meaningful conversations about God. Students engage in bi-weekly small groups at the end of our service. These groups consist of conversations about the monthly sermon series. Students get to talk about their struggles, pray for one another, and discuss ways to live out God’s word. Make sure to join us on Wednesday nights at 6:30 in the student center!

Family Nights - We always look forward to spending time together and having fun. An excellent opportunity for this is through our monthly Family Nights! On the first Sunday night of every month, ASM and Voyage gather together to play a fun activity and have bible study. We love to play dodgeball, volleyball, hide and seek, and so much more! Every Family Night takes place from 5 pm to 7 pm. Make plans to join us!
Voyage Groups
Outdoor Life Groups - This group is Led by Skyler Yoder and Joshua Theus. This group is centered around all things outdoors. Expect to have a ton of fun playing sports, cookouts, and having great conversations around a bonfire.
Game Night Life Group - This group is Led by Javi and Kayle. The group is centered around getting together and playing your favorite board games, card games, trivia, and much more! There’s nothing like board games and great conversations.
Ballroom Dancing Life Group - This group is Led by Noah DeMers. This group is centered around learning how to dance! This is an excellent opportunity to hang out with friends and dance the night away.
Ladies Night Life Group - This group is Led by Emma Dejournett. This group is centered around getting the ladies together to grow closer in their relationship with God. Expect to have great conversations, play games, and make many friends!
